| CRST International Employee Earns Top Revlon Honor |
Area account manager Deb Wink never imagined that her duties scheduling in-bound and out-bound routes for Revlon's Phoenix facility would earn her any special recognition, let alone a trip to Florida. After all, Deb says, "I was just doing my job."
So when a recent letter from Revlon Vice President of Global Transportation, John DuBiel, Jr., named Deb the "Revlon Transportation Service Partner of the Year," she said she was "totally floored." Her surprise grew when she learned she would be traveling to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., on January 13 to accept the award at a celebration honoring her achievement.
According to the letter, each year the Revlon Transportation Team carefully selects one service partner who goes above and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis. Deb credits Revlon employees Peggy Wetzel, Kim Northscott and Donna Moore, who she works with on a regular basis, as the main reason she was selected for the honor. "I tried to tell them it's just my job, but they kept telling me, 'You keep on top of things so well,' and 'You're so good to work with.'"
Deb was chosen from a large pool of candidates, most from companies that provide a greater degree of transportation services for Revlon. That makes Deb's achievement even more impressive, said CRST International Vice President of Sales and Marketing Dennis Hyland. "To put it in perspective, Revlon spends 80 to 90 percent of their tranportation budget on modes other than truckload, such as LTL, small package and air freight," he said. "Yet the award goes to just one person each year. This is really a feather in Deb's cap."
