| 4th Largest Client Honors Sosa for Service |
Debbie Sosa, national accounts manager for CRST's Van Division, recently flew to Belle Mead, N.J. to accept an "Outstanding Service Award," from Reckitt Benckiser (RB), CRST's fourth-largest customer and the world's leading manufacturer of household cleaning products.
The award was presented by Roy Taft, logistics manager for RB's Belle Mead, N.J. manufacturing plant. The award was a surprise to Sosa, who was in town to attend RB's biannual planning meeting and to have a face-to-face encounter with the RB traffic personnel she talks with by phone on a daily basis.
She is CRST's sole customer service representative for RB, coordinating shipments of outbound (finished goods) and in-bound materials (empty cans, bottles, raw materials) between its manufacturing and distribution centers in Wolcott, N.Y; Belle Mead; Mechanicsburg,Penn; Suwanee, Georgia; St. Peter's and Springfield, Mo.; Rockwood, Mich.; and Tolleson, Ariz. Sosa coordinated shipment for 3,500 loads in 1999.
According to Lisa Weaver, account manager supervisor and Sosa's supervisor, "Deb received this award from the customer because she is devoted, caring, focused and supportive of her customers' needs. She is a very positive person."
Gary Parisi, sales agent for CRST's Van Division, echoes Weaver's respect. "Deb is not afraid to get on the phone and tell the customer 'we have a problem,'" said Parisi. "But she's always proactive, and tells the customer how we're going to resolve the problem as well. This is how I personally deal with customers, so it's great to work with someone who shares my work philosophy."
Parisi also points out that Deb understands the transportation business and the importance of communication. "She follows through after booking a load and checks to make sure it gets done," he said. "This makes all the difference in the world. Deb is one of the best people CRST has on its staff." |
